The Wagging Tail offers many useful services for Ottawa dog parents.

We offer Dog Walking, Mid-Day Puppy visits, and more, depending on your needs. Whether it's 5 days a week, 2 or 3 days a week, or only once every two weeks, we try to work around your schedule, to allow your dog to have the excercise that he or she craves.

Dog Walking

  • Does your dog need more socialization and excercise than you are able to provide?
  • Do you dread coming home from work to find what your dog has done to the carpet, or drapes, or shoes?
  • When you come home from work, does your dog go nuts as soon as you walk in the door?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we can help. We offer group dog walks, and private dog walks.

Group Dog Walk

We will pick up your dog at home during the day in our "pooch mobile", and take him and his friends to a safe, dog-friendly area where he can run and play to his heart's content.

After at least an hour of walking, running and playing, your dog will be returned home, where he will be able to relax for the rest of the day, waiting for you to return from work.

Private Dog Walk

For Dogs and parents who prefer the individual attention of a one-on-one walk.

We will walk your dog for about 30 minutes in your neighbourhood or in a nearby dog-friendly area, on or off leash, depending on your needs.

Puppy Visits

Having a new puppy can be stressful, for both you and your new puppy. Because of their small bladders and limitless energy, puppies have to be let out more often than adult dogs. Also, it's recommeded that puppies eat 3 times a day.

Because puppies left at home alone can't 'hold it' all day, they end up getting used to eliminating in the house. This can cause housetraining to be more difficult than it has to be. Puppies that are left home alone all day will often take longer to be fully housetrained.

We can help. We can schedule a mid-day visit to your house to let your youngster out, feed him, and play for a few minutes. Puppy visits last about 15 - 20 minutes, and they can make a huge difference in your puppy's housetraining and happiness.
